Alumnus Returns To Inspire Students Of GDSSS Wuse 2 In Abuja

An alumnus of Government Day Senior Secondary School Wuse II, Abuja, Dominic Izuchukwu Nwobodo, has visited his alma mater after nine years, marveling at its revitalized campus on Ademola Adetokunbo Crescent to inspire students. The school, where he graduated, now radiates a youthful charm, appearing rejuvenated.

Dominic connected with students, sharing nostalgic memories and donating 120 copies of his book, with several placed in the school’s library to inspire young minds. The event was enriched by Miracle Chukwu, a fellow alumna and founder of Teen’s Global Impact Forum, who delivered an inspiring talk urging students to live with purpose.

Expressing gratitude, Dominic honored his former literature teacher, Esther Ekhator Itseuwa, whose mentorship 11 years ago shaped his literary path.

The visit ended with a heartfelt recitation of the poem “Dream” from Nwobodo’s book:
Gird fast to dream
Passion is rubier than blood
The wings that flap
Soar beyond the horizon

The event left students motivated, highlighting the power of alumni engagement and mentorship in fostering purpose-driven lives.
